#1 Email Mistake
You quoted them. You followed up. You even left a voicemail. But you never got a reply.
Here’s a secret: sometimes it’s not your offer. It’s your email.
A weak subject line, no photo, bland closing—these tiny things do shape perception. Especially in a world where your prospects get 100+ emails a day.
So let’s tighten it up.
This week, try these four things:
- Use action verb in your subject line
Instead of “Quote Follow-Up,” try “Let’s Get Your Coverage Finalized” or “Quick Update on Your Policy Options.”
Why? Action verbs increase open rates by creating urgency and clarity. - Personalize with their name
“Sam, here’s what we can do next” performs better than generic lines.
Why? It signals the message is for them, not a mass email. - End with a friendly, human sign-off
Drop the formalities and try “Talk soon,” or “Here if you need anything,” followed by your name and photo.
Why? Friendly closings feel more approachable—and drive more replies. - Use a signature that communicates trust
Make sure your email signature includes an up-to-date photo, your direct contact info, and helpful links.
Why? A clear, pollished signature helps you look legit—and when it’s easy for someone to find your info, it’s easier for them to respond.
